“Resilience is the ability to get back up when you've been knocked down“ said Prof. Sarita Desouza while opening “Pathways to Resilient Leadership“ a women's empowerment forum organised by GIM. The event provided a platform for five women, having not much in common except a drive towards excellence that led to them becoming leaders in their respective fields, to come together and discuss gender and leadership. Speaking on the role resilience played in her life, Ms. Brinda Somaya, Architect & Urban Conservationist said, “if you have challenging situation you should be able to (a) find a way around it; (b) if you can't find a way around it, face it head on; and (c) be able to accept failure if it comes.“ A discussion as empowering and motivating as the one we were fortunate enough to witness cannot be summed up in a few words. It engaged every individual in the audience. #LifeAtGIM #EventsAtGIM
